As we expand into locations, we embarked on a mission to refine our visual identity,” Remedy Entertainment said in a blog post.
Here is Remedy Entertainment’s full message regarding the new logo:
Creating Remedy’s new logo and revamped visual identity was as much an emotional journey as an art. Longtime followers of his Remedy know how important artistic direction is to us. Not only in terms of games, but in terms of what the identity of the studio looks like. Not to mention Parker!
As a game development studio, we’ve come a long way since our founding in 1995. Countermeasures are constantly evolving.
The black circle of “R” in the old logo is Max Payne, but the current cure is much larger than a single game. We have a whole portfolio of games old and new.
It’s time to update and redefine our visual identity to be more consistent, show our evolution over the years, and better represent Remedy’s vision today.
The Remedy logo means a lot to us, but we know it means a lot to you too. Just like the games we make at Remedy, we approached this process with care, care and a lot of passion!
We want to create memorable worlds, stories and characters that can be experienced through games. We wanted the new logo to reflect that we are always evolving and making exciting games with the best people. But there is only one remedy for courageous creativity. We hope you like the new design.
Our future is incredibly exciting. We’ve been in the gaming industry for nearly 30 years, but in many ways we feel we’re just getting started.you can look forward to Alan Wake II Some great Remedy experiences to play later this year and in the years to come.
