A dangerous ride “hack” circulated on TikTok has prompted Disneyland to put up new signs discouraging guests from test-riding Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout.
Reckless social media users encourage people to unseat their seatbelts on elevator-style drop rides to get more air in the fall. Even without doing so, guests are often lifted slightly from their seats during the ride, and unbuckling their seat belts can seriously injure them. (Ride is not free-falling; it pulls downward at a maximum speed of 39 mph.)
