Similarly, their opponents, Bayern, lost 1-0 to Lazio in the first leg of their last-16 tie, but won 3-0 in Munich to advance to the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, City progressed with a comfortable win over Denmark’s FC Copenhagen, winning 3-1 home and away.
Real Madrid were given a tough test by RB Leipzig, but they secured a place in the quarter-finals with a 1-1 draw against Spain and a 1-0 win against Germany.

When will the Champions League quarter-finals be decided?
The quarter-finals of this year’s competition will be held midweek on April 9th and 10th, with the second leg taking place a week later on April 16th and 17th.
