Arun Bakshi, who played the role of the film director in ‘Swarg’, said he was a big fan of Rajesh Khanna and was in complete awe of the Aradhana actor while filming the movie. Bakshi said Dhawan didn’t have to convince Khanna too much to take on the role of swag matriarch. However, he also said that when Khanna was filming the movie, he was questioning himself.
By this time, Khanna’s heyday had passed, and she saw few hits throughout the 1980s. “During the Swag era, Rajesh Khanna was going through a period of downhill. At that time, he had some issues with his self-confidence. There was,” he told Bollywood Tikana.
Asked if Khanna was questioning herself, Bakshi nodded and said, I previously worked with him at his Awam in BR Chopra. Even though it was downhill, he was happy, but here things were a little different. ”
Regarding the issue of co-stars’ punctuality, he said Khanna would show up almost an hour late, but declined to comment on Govinda’s punctuality. ‘Swarg’ was one of her last few hits in Rajesh Khanna’s career and became her one of the highest-grossing films of the year.
