Providence – City residents may be able to take advantage of discounted internet service under a new city program.
The city’s Affordable Connectivity Program offers eligible residents up to $30 a month in Internet service discounts to purchase technology such as laptops, tablets and desktop computers, Providence officials announced last week. to support residents.
Regarding the need for the program, Mayor Jorge O. Elorza said in a statement: connection with important people.
“We are delighted that the Mayor’s Center for City Hall is now able to assist Providence residents in accessing this important federal program. to find out more.”
Households with incomes below 200% of the federal poverty level or participating in certain federal and state programs are eligible for assistance. Complete guidelines are posted at providenceri.gov/pvdconnects.
