Petaling Jaya: Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNPk) today announced a joint venture with Perak Corporation Bhd, a subsidiary of PKNPk, to develop Silver Valley Technology Park (SVTP) with an estimated gross development value of 816 acres of PKNPk’s industrial land in Kantang province. The company has signed a joint venture agreement for the development plan (GDV) of RM1.03 billion.
The companies also agreed to combine resources, expertise, skills, knowledge and know-how for joint development.
During the same event in Ipoh, Perak onboarded earthworks and engineering specialist Advancecon Holdings Bhd as co-developer of SVTP. PKNPk chief executive officer Datuk Reza Rafik Abdul Razak said the project will include Bandar Setia Alam, Setia Eco Hill, Setia Eco Gardens, Eco Majestic and Tropicana Aman. With many years of experience under Advancecon’s belt in major development projects, Advancecon will be a great sparring partner for Pella. Advance SVTP.
“With the support of the Perak State Government and co-developers, we aim to secure private investment of RM14 billion and hope to contribute to Perak’s GDP (gross domestic product) in return. ‘ he added.
SVTP is strategically located between industrial parks such as Kanthang Industrial Park and Bandar Mer Raya, the pride of PKNPk. Pella sees this as an important initiative to encourage investment in the state.

He said the project would create 13,000 job opportunities for the people of Perak.
Advancecon CEO Datuk Phum Ang Kia said PKNPk and Perak have forged a strategic partnership with like-minded investors to advance the development of the highly anticipated SVTP project. He said the company is taking bold actions to advance its own interests.
