Patrick Dempsey can add People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive to his resume!
Dempsey shot to fame in the 1987 romantic comedy Can’t Buy Me Love, and cemented his status as Dr. Derek Shepherd, aka McDreamy, for 11 seasons on Grey’s Anatomy.
However, this honor surprised him.

The actor further added, “I completely forgot about it and never even thought of being in a position like this. So my ego is good.”
Dempsey and his wife Gillian have Talulah, 21, and twins Sullivan and Darby, 16.
