Instead of taking harsh words to heart, the country star decided to look at this negative situation in a more positive light.
He replied, “If absolutely no one talks about you on social media, you probably haven’t done much in your life. I always take that as a compliment!”
Many fans immediately came to McCollum’s aid in the comments section.
