GREEN BAY – The Packers have eight players listed as questionable for Sunday night’s matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Those eight are receivers Jaden Reed (chest) and Dontaivion Wicks (knee), cornerbacks Jaire Alexander (shoulder) and Robert Rochell (calf), linebacker Devondre Campbell (neck), and tight end. Josiah Deguara (hip) and safety Rudy Ford. (biceps/groin) and Darnell Savage (calf).
Running back Aaron Jones (knee) has been ruled out, while cornerback Eric Stokes (hamstring) is questionable.
Reed returned to practice Friday after missing Wednesday and Thursday with a chest injury. The rookie second-round pick led the Packers this season with 497 receiving yards.
Alexander has missed six of Green Bay’s 11 games due to back and shoulder injuries. His last appearance was in Green Bay’s 20-3 win over the Los Angeles Rams on November 5th.
“We’ll see how he gets through today and where he’s at on Sunday,” Alexander head coach Matt LaFleur said. “Certainly, you always want to have a player of his caliber on the field. It makes us a better football team.”
Savage and Stokes are scheduled to return from injured reserve and will need to return to play against the Chiefs. Green Bay currently has two spots open on its 53-man roster.
The Packers did not announce the game status of the following players who are expected to play: running back AJ Dillon (groin), defensive lineman Kenny Clark (shoulder) and linebacker Rashan Gary ( shoulder), cornerback Kayshawn Nixon (wrist) and defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt (heel).
Kansas City listed running back Jerick McKinnon (groin) as questionable and ruled out linebacker Nick Bolton (wrist), who is set to return from the Chiefs’ injured reserve.
Kansas City did not announce the game status of the following players who are expected to play: safety Brian Cook (biceps), receiver Kadarius Toney (ankle/hip), and receiver Lachie Rice (foot). ), tackle Donovan Smith (neck), cornerback Rajarius Sneed (knee) and receiver Skye Moore (knee).
