Olivia Munn decorated the Women’s Cancer Research Fund’s pink carpet on Monday night for a “unforgettable evening” fundraiser.
“Extra” spoke with the actress “Your Friends and Neighbors” who became open about her health journey after her 2023 breast cancer diagnosis.
Olivia, who was awarded The Courage Award, felt “very emotional” in the fundraiser.
Her cancer diagnosis changed Mann’s priorities.
She said:
Olivia said, “It was me – after this trip, I thought I’d finished together. I actually called the person in charge and said, “I don’t want to be in front of the camera anymore. I’m going to do some things behind the scenes.” ”
Olivia explained in detail. [“Your Friends & Neighbors”] I loved it so much and promoted it, then I was here, and still be able to spread the message to people about lifetime risk assessment tests and help fund breast cancer research… It’s now a big ball of gratitude. ”
When her support team grew up, Mann emphasized: “I am fortunate that many people in my life stepped up for me, supported me, and loved me. I love so many people in your life and feel even more fortunate that everyone I have met knows, not just my core circle.”
Showing her love for her husband, John Mulany, Olivia added: “My family, John and my close friends became my support team and after we talked about it, the support team expanded.
Olivia also shared a quote that resonated with “Welcome to the worst club with the best members.”
“That’s true,” she recalled. “It’s a really sweet sister.”
Olivia also spoke openly about how much she has grown to love and appreciate her body through her maternal and cancer journey.
“My stomach never went back to my previous view [after I had my son]She admitted.
She said, “But I looked at my boy and I said, ‘If my body didn’t bring him into this world, he wouldn’t be here.” ”
Mann said, “I am just so grateful for being able to bring my son into this world because I am so grateful for the drooping part of my skin or stomach, or how everything looks different.”
She said, “People asked me a lot of this question… They would say it as if it were a hypothetical. They said, “When you were diagnosed with breast cancer, did you feel your body had betrayed you?” ” she shared, “I didn’t think my body was betraying me.
