Even experts agree that romantic relationships are hard work. It’s a completely different ball game.
Reddit user u/denisennp, OP wondered if it was wrong for her boyfriend’s father to yell at her to get out of the car when he turned on the one feature she asked her to stop. I want to

OP spent the night with her boyfriend’s family and went out to dinner with her father in the driver’s seat (her boyfriend, his parents, and his brother).
A few drinks were also included. His dad had two, she had a little more, and on the way home from her family’s night out, his dad would ask her questions like, “Are you working on self-driving cars?” began to
The answer was simply yes. She is a Systems Engineer and has worked for multiple companies. He kept asking her if she liked his Tesla and she jokingly replied:
He asked her what she thought of the FSD she had just purchased and asked if she should turn it on. She agreed on the condition that he not get in the car when he was in it.
It seemed like a joke to her until his dad pulled over and turned on the FSD. At this point, she told him to get out of the car if she wanted to, but his father and brother started laughing and her boyfriend was completely speechless in the scenario.
Her boyfriend’s dad kept saying, “It’s okay.”
It Won’t Be Fine
But she didn’t have it. She reached out her hand to open the door, but it was locked. Now she could feel her anger growing inside her, and it probably didn’t help her that she was under the influence of alcohol.
Her boyfriend finally decided it was time to intervene and tried to calm her down by saying she was drunk and needed to calm down. She told him it didn’t matter, but he was worried she was arguing with his brother there. All she wanted was to be released or her father It was just doing the right thing.
His dad finally stopped and said.
The drive home wasn’t as fun as driving. The air was ripping through it and tense until they got home. Especially since it was the first time she met his family in full.
loose the temper
She got mad at this and said, “I’m not the one who decided to do just one thing right after I asked him to stop saying he wasn’t comfortable in the car…” rice field.
Her boyfriend defended her father, stating that he (his father) “used the car a lot so it was fine.”
The conversation went back and forth several times and ended with my boyfriend getting angry. Then he told her to get some sleep.
She wakes up the next morning to find her father making her feel uncomfortable and her boyfriend’s family laughing at her and wanting her to do something uncomfortable.
Should she have calmed down more, or was her boyfriend’s family wrong?

“Honestly, this would be the end of the relationship for me. trying to force and ridicule me into a situation that you clearly state is uncomfortable. That discomfort? Then turn around and blame me for everything because I made an inexcusable mistake of embarrassing you. because I committed a
Another Redditor, u/babcock27, pointed out the toxic masculinity men have about their cars.
A user said: I can’t believe a concerned man was treated the same way. ”
What do you think? Is this a classic case of misunderstanding or did her family ignore her feelings?
