On Monday, reigning champion Niall Horan went into the season’s first “The Voice” live show in a good mood.
Megan Wright of “Extra” spoke with Niall about his team, competition with other coaches, and group chats with Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.
He said: [group chat] He and Gwen were actually out today. He’s a complete jerk…he’s always doing something to disrupt the place. He’s a genius in that regard. He knows how to get everyone involved. ”
Commenting on this year’s talent on The Voice, Horan said: The three songs I chose from the live performance are now being delivered to the American people. ”
Niall faces stiff competition from fellow coaches John Legend, Gwen and Reba McIntyre. He stated, “I think everyone has a fighter who can win…I definitely continued to fight more with John beyond the blinds.”
Niall has an advantage because he has experience with the “X Factor.” He commented: “I see a lot of myself in them and the excitement of being on the biggest show in the country…I’ve been through shows like this before. I just understand that. I am.”
“The Voice” airs Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC.
