Niall Horan is reflecting on his final breakup with One Direction bandmate Liam Payne.
Payne, 31, died after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina on Wednesday.
Liam was in Buenos Aires after seeing Niall’s show in Buenos Aires on October 2nd.
Horan paid tribute to Payne Instagram along with a silly photo of the pair. He writes: “I’m devastated by the passing of my wonderful friend Liam. It just doesn’t feel real.”
She added: “Liam had an energy for life and a contagious passion for his work. He was the brightest person in any room and always made everyone feel happy and at ease.”
Looking back on the fun times, Horan posted: We got to realize the wildest dreams together and I will forever cherish every moment we spent. The bonds and friendships we have created are not something that will happen again and again in a lifetime. ”
He said of the last time he met Liam: Sadly, after we said goodbye and hugged him that night, we didn’t know that we would be saying goodbye forever. My heart hurts. ”
Niall wrote of Liam’s mother, father and sisters: “My love and condolences to Geoff, Karen, Ruth, Nicola and of course my son Bear.”
He concluded with, “Thank you for everything, Payno.” Love your brother, Nailah. ”
One Direction previously said: “We are completely devastated by the news of Liam’s death. In time, when we are all able to speak, we will have more to say. I will take some time to grieve and come to terms with my brother’s death.”
The group continued, “The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and all of us who loved him.” I’m talking about the fans who gave it to me.
