Passengers are horrified aboard the Norwegian cruise ship MS Mode, which was wrecked by a huge wave.

Horrifying footage has been released of panicked passengers on a Norwegian cruise ship without power after being hit by rough waves in the North Sea.
Last week, passengers from the MS Maude, which ran aground after being hit by 70-foot waves and strong winds from Storm Pier, were caught on video wearing life jackets and holding on to tables.
“Lie on the floor!” one panicked person can be heard screaming during the stomach-churning incident, according to footage shared by SWNS.
The ship left Tilbury Pier, England, on 9 December with 266 passengers and 131 crew members on board, but ran into a storm on 21 December and lost power and navigational equipment.
The newspaper said passengers included Brian Ronder, 75, and his wife Carol, who were celebrating their 70th birthday on their first cruise.
Mr Lander, from Richmond, North Yorkshire, said he saw waves reaching the windows of his cabin on the fifth floor and water gushing through the hallway.
“At one stage they were preparing a lifeboat,” he told SWNS on Saturday, adding that he hoped to be home by Christmas before the disaster.
“Our cruise had to be cut short because we had to go through the storm. We were stuck for hours without power. We are talking to police officers. But they estimated the waves to be 15 to 20 meters high,” he said.
“I was worried when water came through the door. My wife was very calm and was helping this woman. She sorted herself out,” Lander continued.
He said one person was injured in the poop owned by Hurtigruten Expeditions.
“She had a baby in her arms and it flew away,” he said. “The waves blew out three windows and the captain had to move the bridge to the passenger lounge.” he added.
He said Sunday that a rescue ship was alongside the Maude to provide navigational aid after it turned to Bremerhaven, Germany.
The couple returned to Hamburg, took an early morning flight to Frankfurt, and were expected to eventually return to the UK and arrive in London on Christmas Eve.
“Drama aside, we’re actually having a lot of fun,” the grandfather of four joked. “We have never been on a cruise ship before. I would definitely go again.”
meanwhile, another video Passengers were captured enjoying some humor during the horrifying incident.
“Even in a moment of sheer terror, our fellow passengers found lightness in the destruction of Gingerbread Town, which collapsed on Master Station A Deck 5, fragmenting and sliding around us. 18.19 21.12.23 #hutigruten #MS mode on the other hand #stormpier It raged around us,” wrote X user Oscar Dog.
He shared a video of a woman sitting on the debris-strewn deck floor, displaying a smiling elf doll while surrounded by other passengers wearing orange survival gear.
