Celine Dion returns from secret Olympic rehearsals to wow fans in Paris!
She had stepped back from the spotlight while battling stiff neck syndrome, but is poised to make the ultimate comeback at Friday’s Opening Ceremony.
“We know she’s been planning it for a long time. She’s been rehearsing really hard and parts of the performance were pre-recorded to avoid any technical issues,” Variety magazine’s international editor Elsa Keslassy said.
Lady Gaga is also rumoured to be appearing, with Keslassy revealing that she has been spotted rehearsing on a floating piano on the Seine.
Will we see a Celine and Gaga duet?
“There’s a lot of rumors about an Edith Piaf performance. She actually sang an Edith Piaf song after the 2015 terrorist attacks. I know Lady Gaga is a fan of Edith Piaf, so maybe we’ll see a duet between the two of them. That would be kind of a dream come true,” Keslassy said.
The Olympic opening ceremony will take place on Friday at 10:30am PST/1:30pm ET.
