The Daily Dot reached out to Ella through a comment on TikTok and to Marshalls via email. As of Sunday morning, Ella’s video had been viewed more than 464,400 times.
In the comments section, some viewers agreed with Ella’s review, while others said the products she advised had worked for them.
One viewer said: “Luceta does wonders for my hair.”
“Luceta’s hair oil is so good,” another wrote.
“I always walk around the beauty aisle with my Yuka open lol,” added a third viewer.
A fourth viewer claimed: “Coco’s magic has dried out my hair.”
And many advised Ella not to use Yuka, a mobile app that allows customers to scan a barcode and instantly see reviews and the health effects of a product.
One user said: “Everyone should stop using the Yuka app where brands pay to get good reviews.”
