Netflix and Sony Pictures Television have teamed up to bring ‘The Corps’ to life, the film adaptation of Greg Corp White’s bestselling autobiography ‘The Pink Marine’. “The Corps” is a tentative title, but given that the title has already generated serious anticipation among drama fans, it may stick.news of series First surfaced in March. Netflix had planned to finish production on the show in September, aiming for a mid-2024 release. However, the WGA/SAG-AFTRA strike halted production indefinitely.
There are big names behind the scenes. The project is led by Andy Parker, known for titles such as Tales of the City and Imposters. Parker is the creator and co-writer of the series. Original author Greg Cope White will co-write the script and serve as one of the producers. The first episode of the series will be directed by Peter Hoare, best known for The Last of Us and The Umbrella Academy.

The book behind the series, The Pink Marine, tells the story of teenage Greg Cope White, who almost on a whim enlisted in Marine Corps recruit training camp on Parris Island, South Carolina. His boot camp changes his life as he struggles with his own sexuality and unmasculine thinking. He finds out what it really means to be human as a Marine.
In this series, Miles Heiser plays Cameron Cope, a charming underdog who tries to redefine his identity as a gay, bullied teenager. Living in a precarious home with a narcissistic mother, Cameron impulsively enlists in the Marine Corps with his heterosexual best friend, hoping to become a “real man.” Vera Farmiga plays Cameron’s mother, Barbara Cope.
‘The Corps’ promises to be a deep and exciting series. Netflix has confirmed 10 episodes, but we don’t know when or how they will be released.
