Yoshihiro Togashi’s supernatural adventure “Yu Yu Hakusho” will be made into a live-action film on Netflix. The series, which began filming in the summer of 2021, will finally be released in December of this year. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
Netflix is investing heavily in live-action adaptations of popular anime titles, and One Piece will be one of the notable success stories in summer 2023. This project is particularly ambitious and is being directed by Kazuki Sakamoto. He was an executive producer on such hits as Alice in Wonderland, The Naked Director, and Devilman Crybaby. Akira Morii was appointed as producer, and Ryo Sakaguchi was appointed as SFX supervisor. Netflix’s in-house studio, Scanline VFX, is working on the visual effects.
The first season of “Yu Yu Hakusho” is scheduled to be released in December 2023, but the specific release date has not been revealed. The unofficial date is December 14th.

Takumi Kitamura stars as Yusuke Urameshi!Yu Yu Hakusho”. Kitamura may be best known for his role as Takedo Hanagaki in the live-action version of the popular anime and manga series, Tokyo Revengers.
According to sources, in addition to Kitamura, Ryusei Yokoma, Go Ayano, Jun Shison, and Kanata Hongo have also been cast in the series.

Regarding this project, Mr. Kitamura said, “The original work is a universal and unique masterpiece, and is the reason why Japan is proud of its strong manga and anime culture. We are happy to be able to share the masterpiece of “Yu Yu Hakusho” with the world, and hope to create something that people all over the world can enjoy.”
Filming for “Yu Yu Hakusho” has been underway since July 2021, but there is no confirmation that filming has finished. The first footage of Takumi Kitamura, who plays Yusuke, on set was shared in June 2021, raising expectations among fans.
