Washington (January 22, 2024) – The National Confectionery Association today announced that eight confectionery industry professionals have been selected for the 2024 Future Leadership Program. This program is dedicated to helping young professionals in the confectionery industry gain career experience by accessing networking and professional development opportunities.
“Future Leaders are transforming the world of chocolate and candy, and they have what it takes to move the industry forward,” said John Downs, NCA President and CEO. Launched in 2016, the Future Leadership Program provides support, education, access and opportunities for young professionals who want to develop leadership skills and advance their careers in the confectionery industry. Participants will be matched with highly regarded industry leaders as mentors. They are also invited to NCA’s signature events and other industry gatherings, including the State of the Industry Conference, Sweets & Snacks Expo, NCA’s Leadership Summit, Washington Forum, and Candy Hall of Fame Weekend.
