Editor’s note: Pascal Siakam was originally the No. 1 player on this list, but was traded to the Indiana Pacers on January 17th.
As the NBA calendar passes January 15th, many players who re-signed with their previous teams last offseason will be eligible for trades. It includes D’Angelo Russell, Jerami Grant, Matisse Thybulle, Kyle Kuzma, Rui Hachimura, and more, making it a more important group of players than you might think. Some of these players will be featured on the latest trade board below, while others will not.
As a result, all but a few players in the league, most of whom have signed long-term extensions within the past six months, will be eligible for trade.
We’re already seeing the first dominoes fall as the New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors put aside ongoing litigation to complete the contracts of OG Anunoby, RJ Barrett, and Immanuel Quickley. The second big one comes two days after this list was originally published, when the Raptors traded Pascal Siakam to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for a package centered around Bruce Brown Jr. and three first-round picks. It fell when I traded to. These deals took two of the largest companies out of the market.

Pascal Siakam trade performance: Pacers eye contention. The Raptors have become Scottie Barnes’ team.
Still, expect more deals to take place in the coming weeks. Teams like the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors will look to overhaul their rosters to advance, while teams like the Charlotte Hornets and Washington Wizards will look to sell after being eliminated from the postseason race. .
Now, let’s take a look at some of the remaining players available on the market. With the February 8th deadline still a little under a month away, I remain quite cautious about adding names to this list. That being said, now that we know a little more about the team’s goals by the deadline, the pool has expanded from his 25 on the original board to his 35 here.
Before we get into the names on this list, I’d like to at least highlight a few that aren’t already on the list.
• All-Stars are not displayed donovan mitchell or lauri markkanen. At this point, again, things are fluid at this point, but my impression from speaking with league officials is that the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to get through this season with Mitchell. On the other hand, Markkanen’s price is so high, especially considering the Utah Jazz’s recent performance, that he’s effectively been taken off the market.
• It also disappears Jonathan Kuminga or moses moody, two young Golden State Warriors players that could be used to facilitate the signing of a star player. I don’t think the Warriors have ruled out moving them, but my impression is that they aren’t actively including them in potential trade packages, at least at this point. League officials say new general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. values both at a very high level, and that one or both may be needed as a mechanism to foster needed change. I believe that even if you understand, you would like to keep them if possible. Warriors in decline. Future versions of this board may feature Kuminga and/or Moody, but that’s why I’m holding off for now.
• The aforementioned Jerami Grant It’s not listed here. It’s a little hard to tell if the Portland Trail Blazers are willing to move him and how other teams value his five-year, $160 million contract. Ta.
• The Brooklyn Nets don’t have a lot of players yet, and that’s because, frankly, we don’t fully know what direction the teams in the league are going to go. For that, dorian finney smith, the value of an excellent role-player candidate. He’s under a long-term contract, so the Nets won’t rush to make a decision on his future now that they’re in the Eastern Conference play-in race.
Again, this list will be fluid over the next month, so expect some updates. Once the trade is completed, some of these players will be taken off this board, and others may even sign extensions to remain with their current teams. But this is where we sit for now.
