Muhammad Mochaev and Malcolm Gordon They faced off in a bantamweight bout on September 4, 2021 at UFC Fight Night. The two fighters brought different styles to the Octagon. Mokaev was known for his grappling prowess and Gordon for his striking.

In the third round, Gordon came out with more urgency and tried to land a strike on Mochaev. But Mochaev took him down again, controlling the fight on the ground, throwing punches and elbows from the top position.
In the end, Mochaev won by unanimous decision, with all three judges voting 30-27 in his favour. Mochaev’s grappling proved to be too much for Gordon and he was unable to mount a major attack on his feet.
The win brought Mochaev’s professional record to 5-0 and marked a successful UFC debut. With his excellent grappling skills, Mochaev seems like a rising star in the bantamweight division.
Gordon, on the other hand, has suffered his fourth loss in the UFC and will need to regroup and come back stronger if he wants to remain a competitive fighter in promotion.
All in all, the Mochaev vs. Gordon fight was a showcase of Mochaev’s impressive grappling skills and dominance on the ground, and was a tough loss for Gordon.
