Warner Bros Discovery’s “Say Yes to the Prom” recently held events in Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles!
“Extra” was on hand in LA, and employees at Montedarham and WBD, “Just Dress: Atlanta: Atlanta” helped assemble unique looks with the help of companies such as Macy’s and Men’s Warehouse. The 500 worthy students were also treated to one-on-one styling sessions to get the look of the dream prom.
Monte says, “I always say there are three fs in fashion. You want to find a fit, you want to find a fabric. Is it a fabric that works for you? And is it fashionable enough?”
He added that the teens are “very strong about what they want to wear and what they don’t wear.”
Dennis Williams, senior vice president of corporate social responsibility at Warner Bros Discovery, was thrilled with the event and achieved its continued success.
He said, “It’s one of the best events of the year for us. I can’t help but feel excited. It’s electric when these kids come in… We’re offering this opportunity to make them look good and feel good at a very important time – Prom.”
The event is now in its 13th year. “We started out on a small scale. Now we’re in three cities that help thousands of kids across the country go to prom… it’s just getting bigger,” Williams said.
This year, they are also helping students affected by the LA wildfires to graduate from high school with high notes.
