Two Indianapolis police officers spent the day searching for a missing baby in a stolen car when they stopped, ate, and racked their brains.
A woman suspected of stealing a black 2010 Honda Accord was taken into custody earlier in the day on Dec. 22, but the car was still missing. Even more urgently, baby Casson Thomas, who was in the car with twins Kaia Thomas when the car was stolen three days ago in Columbus, Ohio, had yet to be found.
“Disappointed that we couldn’t find him, it’s time to decompress,” said Sean Anderson of Sgt. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. CNN series WISH-TV“And God was about to open heaven to us and deliver him into our hands.”

Indianapolis resident Cheyenne Delmar and her cousin Mecca Curry told the newspaper that they’ve been tracking down clues about the missing baby since Wednesday.
Delmar’s interest in the case began on Tuesday, according to Starr, when she and Callie hooked up with a woman who they believed looked like a suspect in the kidnapping.
The cousins arranged a meeting with the woman on Thursday and helped lead police to their location, they told Starr, and the woman was taken into custody. announced the arrest of Jackson. CNN contacted the Indianapolis Police Department to confirm if the woman the cousins only knew as “May” was in fact Jackson.
Suspect Nara Jackson, 24, was awaiting extradition to Columbus, where she faces two counts of felony kidnapping. A warrant for Jackson’s arrest was filed through Franklin County Court, according to online documents. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office also charged Jackson with a bodily waste battery. It is unknown if Jackson has an attorney.
Kason and Kyair Thomass were left in a moving car on the night of December 19 when their mother picked up a DoorDash order in Columbus. When she returned, the car was gone, along with her twins, according to Columbus Police.
Kyair was found abandoned near Dayton International Airport in the early hours of December 20, police said. However, it took several days before Cayson was found in Indianapolis, about 175 miles from where he was taken.
After Jackson’s arrest, Kayson was never found.
The cousins told The Star that they decided to follow the bus route to find the snow-buried car, based on the bus schedule the woman had left in the car.

A cousin told the paper that he found and flagged down a police officer nearby.
CNN has reached out to Indianapolis, and the Columbus Police Department is trying to reach out to Del Mar and Curry. The Indianapolis Star reported that police radio communications, social his media posts, and what officials have released match up with what Delmar and Curry told them.
In the tweet, Indianapolis police thanked “everyone who helped find” Kayson, but didn’t specifically mention Delmar or Curry.
“He was cold when we found him, but he was awake, breathing and moving around a bit.” In an interview with WBNS-TV, El said:“His eyes were wide open, trying to take it all in.”
Kason’s family said they were doing what was expected under the circumstances, the station reported. The twins’ grandmother, Lafonda Thomas, said she was overwhelmed by the discovery.
“It’s going to be the best Christmas ever,” she told WBNS-TV. “I’m so excited. It’s a miracle.”
