Miranda Lambert attended the 58th Annual CMA Awards in Nashville on Wednesday with a date with husband Brendan McLaughlin.
Miranda pointed out to Extra’s Alecia Davis that Brendan was “hanging around” while he was doing his thing on the red carpet. She further added, “It’s like we’re on a date…We’re trying to be!”
Lambert was scheduled to perform alongside Parker McCollum in honor of “The King” George Strait.
She said: “I’m going to sing ‘Troubadour.’” That’s really crazy. I’m a huge fan. ”
Miranda confessed that she was speechless when George came into the dressing room first.
She said: “He’s just a classic player and he’s just been who he is throughout his career. That’s a great career to look up to and emulate.”
Lambert also showed off vintage Native American jewelry from Morgan Stapleton’s Tennessee Turquoise Company.
