Miley Cyrus scored a hit single with “Flowers” earlier this year, but don’t expect the former Disney star to sing the song on tour anytime soon. The singer doesn’t seem to want to go on tour and sing in front of thousands of fans.
“It’s been a while,” said Cyrus british vogue. “After the last [headline arena] show what i did [in 2014], I saw it rather as a question. And you can’t do that. “
“It’s not just that you can’t,” she continued. “Because it’s not your ability that you can’t do, it’s my desire. Do I want to live my life for the joy and fulfillment of someone other than myself?”
Cyrus has previously said that she loves performing in front of friends and in intimate settings, saying, “Singing in front of hundreds of thousands of people is just not what I really like. There is no connection, there is no security.”
She continued: When I am in front of 100,000 people, I am alone and I feel very lonely. “
It’s been almost a decade since Cyrus last toured the world. Back in 2014, Cyrus embarked on a 78-date Bangerz Tour that spanned Canada, the United States, Europe, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand from February to October.
Since then, Cyrus has scaled back his music tours. In 2015, she played eight dates across the United States and Canada on her Milky Milk Milk Tour in support of her fifth studio album. Miley Cyrus and her Dead Petz. In 2019, she embarked on a seven-date tour called the Festival Tour, covering European cities. Last year, Cyrus embarked on an attention tour with one show in LA and five more in South American cities, including Buenos Aires, Argentina and São Paulo, Brazil.
