‘Anora’ cast Mikey Madison, Mark Eidelstein, Yuri Borisov, Vashu Tvmasyan and Karen Karagulian speak with ‘Extra’s’ Adam Weissler and Sean, who won the top prize at the Cannes Film Festival・Talked about Baker movies.
Mikey responded to all the awards season buzz, saying he’s just taking things as they are.
She continued, “I don’t really think about it. I mean, this movie already means a lot to me and I’m already very happy…Right now, my main focus is getting people into theaters.” All you have to do is get them to come.”
Mikey hopes the film will be a “conversation starter” and people will have “strong feelings” about it.
Madison also said she had to learn Russian and exotic dance for the role. She said, “I didn’t speak Russian at all. It’s a very complex language, so I wanted to learn as much as I could in a short period of time and make sure I understood what I was saying and communicated clearly.” “I had to strive for it,” he said. Dancing was also very physically demanding. I threw myself into it as much as I could and tried to dedicate all my time to researching and studying my personality and preparing my body. ”
Mark helped Mikey rehearse his Russian and praised how well he did. “It was very appealing, and I felt at that moment how important it was to Mikey,” he recalled.

The group also talked about some physical fight scenes, including one where Mikey had to kick Vash’s character into a glass table.
The pressure was on for Mikey and Vash, and they “only had one take to get it absolutely right.” she admitted. “I was so nervous about it, and we did it, and to see someone crash through a table like that was the most shocking and insane thing I’ve ever seen in person. It was an event.”
“Anora” will be released on October 18th.
