Tech Mahindra and Microsoft have launched a cloud-powered 5G core to meet consumer requirements for edge computing, virtual reality, augmented reality and the Internet of Things (IoT), which could boost the telecom industry. We have partnered to optimize our network.
Microsoft announces collaboration with Tech Mahindra to accelerate modernization of 5G core networks for telecom operators around the world. Through this partnership, Tech Mahindra will offer managed services, human resources expertise, and products related to comprehensive solutions such as AIOps and Network Cloudification as a Service.
Telcos will be able to take advantage of AIOps to tap into the cloud and deliver optimized augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and IoT products to their customers. This can be achieved by combining machine learning (ML) and big data to automate network operations such as performance and fault prediction, event correlation, and anomaly detection.
In addition, Tech Mahindra will leverage Microsoft’s cloud offerings to run its iSustain sustainability solutions. This helps the operator to closely monitor and measure his ESG KPIs. iSustain helps measure and reduce the carbon footprint resulting from power-intensive technologies such as IoT, VR, and AR.
The collaboration will also improve operational security through SenTindra, a virtual security operations center based on Microsoft’s Sentinel platform. The system improves visibility, orchestration and monitoring requirements in cloud-based environments and minimizes downtime.
