At the end of Sunday’s annual BAFTAs, host David Tennant introduced surprise presenter for Best Picture, Michael J. Fox!
Fox, 62, appeared in a wheelchair and dramatically rose to the stage. Mr. Fox has battled Parkinson’s disease for more than 30 years, a fact not lost on the AAA list attendees, who rose to their feet and gave him a thunderous applause.

“There are five films nominated in this category tonight,” he continued. “All five of us have something in common: They’re the best at what we do. No matter who you are or where you come from, these movies can unite us.”

He then announced the nominees, and the honor ultimately went to Oscar nominee “Oppenheimer.”
