Those words ring hollow, as members of Congress have frequently promised to “hold” those in power “accountable.” Exhibit A: Alejandro Mayorkas. For months, the Secretary of Homeland Security has avoided responsibility for directly carrying out the historic border crisis.
until now.
On February 13, the House of Representatives successfully impeached Mr. Mayorkas, citing irreparable harm to the sovereignty, security, and rule of law of the United States. Now it is the Senate’s turn to hold Mr. Mayorkas accountable by conducting a legitimate impeachment trial and scrutinizing the evidence before the American people.

House’s first articles of impeachment It was in response to Mr. Mayorkas’ willful and systematic refusal to comply with the law. As a “civilian official” of the United States, Mr. Mayorkas has no right to choose which laws to enforce and which to ignore, and he certainly has no right to actually violate any laws. But that’s what he’s been doing for three dangerous and chaotic years.
Consider his own confession. He boasted in a 2022 interview with CBS that he had “fundamentally changed.”[ing] “For the first time in history, our policies clearly state: [illegal alien’s] Illegal presence in the United States is not, by itself, grounds for initiating a law enforcement action. ”

This is a deliberate and systematic violation of Section 237 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), which states that “An alien shall be subject to deportation if he or she falls within one or more of the following classes of deportable aliens: shall be excluded.” No entry allowed at the time of admission.
Not “some” aliens. “Any alien.” It doesn’t mean you can “can” delete it. “It will be deleted.”
He also recently acknowledged that more than 85% of denied entry aliens encountered by Customs and Border Protection have been released into the United States, which is not only a total violation of Section 237; This is a deliberate violation of Articles 235 and 236 of the INA, which mandate forced entry. Detention of the following aliens: (1) A person is detained pending a determination of the validity of his or her asylum claim and, if found not to be valid, until deported. (2) If an immigration officer determines that they have no right to enter the country until removed; (3) be subject to deportation for committing a crime or for terrorist activity;

Furthermore, Mr. Mayorkas is in flagrant and systematic violation of Section 212(d)(5) of the INA, which states that “Admission may only be granted on a case-by-case basis for urgent humanitarian reasons.” The Secretary has very limited discretion to temporarily parole foreign nationals.” or significant public interest. ” Mr. Mayorkas created and maintains dozens of nationality-based parole programs, through which tens of thousands of undocumented aliens are paroled in bulk each month and granted work permits that Congress had denied.
Mr. Mayorkas’ parole program violates each element of Section 212(d)(5). That is, by granting work permits to parolees, not on a case-by-case basis, not for urgent humanitarian reasons, and not promoting a vital public interest; Parolees are not given work permits. It means it’s temporary.
As a result of Mr. Mayorkas’ mass parole and refusal to detain or remove the majority of illegal aliens he encountered; An immeasurable 10.7 million encounters and the known “escape”. Mr. Mayorkas intentionally jeopardized the public safety of Americans by intentionally overwhelming border officials and ordering them to process and release millions of unauthorized aliens into the country. , imposing huge costs on states, local governments, and communities.

Mr. Mayorkas is well aware that agents cannot adequately screen everyone they encounter, let alone the more than 1.8 million people who have fled Border Patrol. Mr. Mayorkas also said that some of them are known terrorists, convicted aggravated felons, serial rapists, pedophiles, dangerous gang members, human traffickers, and large amounts of fentanyl and other illegal drugs. I also know that it contains drugs.
Mr. Mayorkas has spent three years trying to secure the border and protect Americans, but he has not been able to do so. On the contrary, he will only become more deceitful about his operations.he hid from the Americans night flight Smuggling illegal aliens into unprepared American communities. He faces questions about donating billions of U.S. tax dollars to secretive NGOs that run extensive infrastructure aimed at facilitating the entry and long-term stay of illegal aliens. However, he refuses to answer.
Mr. Mayorkas told Americans that border crossings went down in early 2023 while playing a fraudulent game of automating the entry of mass parolees into ports of entry using the CBP Mobile One app. And now he’s calling for more tax dollars in an additional funding package to replenish NGOs’ empty coffers and pay sanctuary cities sheltering undocumented immigrants.

Americans deserve a full-fledged impeachment trial of Alejandro Mayorkas in the Senate. Dismissing or putting the impeachment on hold, sending the impeachment to a review committee and holding it, or holding a one-day trial would all be unacceptable options.
If Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer did so, he would be hiding evidence of underlying wrongdoing and violating the public trust. And the senators who support him, including Republicans, will be complicit in a cover-up to cover up the most dangerous official misconduct in the history of the federal government.
