The loud clatter we hear from “sanctuary cities” and other cities run by Democrats is the result of lax immigration policies taking hold.

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, “Border Patrol agents arrested over 162,000 illegal immigrants at the southwestern border in March, up from 130,000 in February, more than 33,000 more than in January. That’s an increase of 25%. Compared to the previous month, it’s more than 25% higher than January.”
The Washington Post reported, “U.S. investigators have documented the arrests of more than 8,000 immigrants along the southern border over several days this week, and officials said the White House plans to lift the ban in May. Illegal crossings are expected to exceed 10,000 people per day since March 11, it said, an emergency public health restriction known as Title 42, which has been in place since March 2020.”

Sometimes there are cases like the one in which a Mexican man, after being deported four times, shot and killed five neighbors, including an eight-year-old, after someone complained about shooting a rifle. He was subsequently taken into custody, but could he have prevented these deaths?

In “Meet the Press,” all Chief Mayorcas could offer was to send sympathy to the victims. I really can’t comment any further. ”
This is a predictable reaction from government leaders who refuse to take responsibility for failed policies. “Our borders are not open and will not be open after May 11,” Mallorcas continued.

The pictures tell the truth. They show immigrants sleeping in the streets of border towns. In New York they are housed in a hotel. The New York Post reported that New York City “has signed a contract with the New York City Hotel Association to provide $275 million to house at least 5,000 immigrants as waves of asylum seekers continue to land in the city from the southern border.” An “emergency” agreement between the city’s Homeless Services Department and the hotel association requires the city to pay up to $55,000 for each immigrant who lands in town. ”
How long will this last? Until the next election, when we can persuade Congress to pass new laws to enforce immigration laws, complete the wall, and properly address the border crisis.
