Marvel star Pom Klementieff is preparing to step into the DC Universe. The 38-year-old, best known for playing Mantis in the Guardians of the Galaxy series, has admitted that she’s been in talks with DC Studios CEO James Gunn about playing a potential character. Klementieff confirmed the development while attending Superhero Comic-Con in San Antonio.
When asked what role she’d like to play in the Rivals reboot, Klementieff avoided a definitive answer. According to a statement shared by Agents of Fandom, she responded, “Do you really think I’m going to answer this question?” However, Klementieff hinted that she’s in talks for a specific character, saying, “I just want to keep working with James, so we’ll keep trying to find a way to do that. Yes, we’re in talks for a specific character, but I can’t talk about it right now.”

While Klementieff’s primary role remains in the Guardians of the Galaxy series, she has also appeared in other MCU films, including Thor: Love and Thunder, Avengers: Endgame, and Infinity War. When asked if she would ever reprise her role as Mantis, she said she would be open to it. “I love the character and I’m sure the fans would love it, but I don’t know. It depends on the show,” she said.
Besides her famed role as Mantis, Klementieff also played Paris in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, starring Tom Cruise. She is set to reprise the role in the yet-to-be-titled Mission: Impossible VIII. Additionally, Klementieff will appear in the action comedy The Killer’s Game.
