On Thursday, Mark Ruffalo was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
‘Extra’ spoke with Mark, who reflected on what this recognition means to him and how far he has come on his journey so far.
Calling the moment “crazy,” Mark said, “Just to be here today with my family, everything that’s happened… the years, the ups and downs… and being here where I started… It’s crazy to be back.”
He further added, “It’s like a movie story.”
Ruffalo remained dedicated to his craft despite the disadvantages of living in the closet. he said: “I had nowhere to go, you know, this is the only way I’m going…Someone said, ‘You should burn the bridge behind you so you can never go back,’ and my bridge literally It caved in behind me.”
Mark followed his karate teacher’s sound advice: “Courage conquers all.”
