“When Calls the Heart” actress Mamie Lovelock, 19, remains in hospital in Vancouver after falling from the fifth floor.
Her family GoFundMe They updated the outlet over the weekend, sharing new details about her injury and surgery and clarifying their earlier statement that she is “doing fine.”
In their latest post, Mamie’s family wrote: “Her body is broken into pieces. She has undergone two 11 hour surgeries by two doctors, one 3 hour surgery and another today. We have nothing but gratitude to the doctors and nurses for their exemplary care since May 26th.”

The update continues, “Mommy is ‘doing better’ than when she arrived. She has survived a tough surgery and is doing great. She is in great pain and has not given up. We can only cling to the miracles each day, thank everyone for their prayers, and continue to marvel at the miracle of her story. Our daughter loves her life, loves her family, and fights hard every day.”
Last week, Mamie’s family revealed that she had been rushed to hospital in Winnipeg, Canada, on May 11th due to a “medical emergency,” and that her mother “was able to react in time to save Mamie’s life.”
Laverock has since been transferred to a hospital in Vancouver, Canada, where she is expected to remain “for over a month.” Details of her recovery are “unknown,” but the GoFundMe states that “she is alive and showing signs of recovery.”

Her parents, Nicole and Rob, said Mamie was “removed from the hospital’s high-security room and walked onto a balcony walkway where she fell five stories.”
“She suffered life-threatening injuries, has undergone multiple major surgeries and is currently on life support,” they said. “We are all devastated and shocked at this extremely difficult time.”
