The Italians are better!
It’s a phrase Madonna had printed on a T-shirt in the 1986 video for “Papa Don’t Preach,” and she’s kept it to herself, traveling to Italy last week to celebrate her 66th birthday in style.
The Queen of Pop blew out the candles on August 16 at the Villa Treville resort in Positano, the same place where Jennifer Lopez vacationed this summer.
“Back in Italy…🇮🇹 Happy Birthday to me 🦁✨🎂🥂🇮🇹♥️,” she wrote. Instagramhas uploaded 20 stunning new photos taken by our exclusive photographer, Ricardo Gomez.
By her side throughout the week were her 11-year-old twins Stella and Estelle, and her rumored new boyfriend, football player Akeem Morris, 28.
people The magazine reports with all the details of the accommodation, which is ideally located overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and costs more than $2,000 a night.
Madonna’s approach to the celebration was not a one-off, but rather a week-long party.
She took part in Italy’s traditional Ferragosto celebrations on the balcony of La Tagliata, watched by hundreds of spectators, and marveled at fireworks over the Amalfi Coast.
She also had dinner at the archaeological park of Pompeii and saw a performance by Dream of Flying, a youth group that adapted ancient comedies. She was so moved by what she saw that AP She confirmed that she had quickly agreed to $275,000 to fund the program for one year through her Ray of Light Foundation.
While watching the play, Madonna and 30 guests enjoyed a meal of Mediterranean vegetables, seafood (including whitebait) and homemade bread prepared by chefs Antonio and Fabrizio Merino of Quattro Passi.
The meal included mini penne with zucchini and escarole.
Madonna’s birthday comes a year after she overcame a serious bacterial infection and just months after wrapping up her successful Celebration World Tour with a historic performance in Brazil.
In celebration of her birthday, her longtime manager Guy Oseary posted a throwback photo and hinted at a possible tour second, writing, “1.6 million people came to the show in Rio 🇧🇷 it was magical. Bravo 👏🏽👏🏽 The celebration tour may be over… for now 😃… but the birthday celebration has just begun! Save some dancing for us 💃🕺🏻❤️💛💚.”
