Rizzo had the number one, number two and number three songs in the United States. The chokeholds on Billboard charts are extreme, as the Beatles once had around the world. However, the singer, whose fame polarised between those who worship her and those who barely stand, was quite connected in 2023.
At the LA concert on March 12th at the Wiltern Theater, the “Damn Time” singer looked back in August 2023 when she was slapped by a former backup dancer for allegations of harassment and toxic work environment.
She said, “I made it a name because about a year and a half ago it’s so hard for me to talk about – I was so dark and deeply depressed. I was so saddened by the world and I was so deeply hurt, I didn’t want to live anymore, so I was so afraid of those I didn’t want to see. In the end I got through that fear.”

Her breakthrough from the Negative Spiral was caused by fans when she attended a concert in 2023. And they reached out, I came back, and we held it, and it felt so good,” she said. “And after that experience, I thought, “Damn, you can’t get this on the internet. This is the kind of love you can only get in real life. And I don’t get some kind of sympathy by sharing that story. We’re beyond that, b*tch. Look at me,” she continued.
Rizzo ended her address with a message to those who are also brave in depression and darkness. “If you’re depressed, reach out to those who listen. If you’re angry at the government, reach out to someone else who’s angry at the government, and if you hate the way you see, reach out to someone who loves you and those you say. Believe it or not, because you’re special,” Rizzo said.
Rizzo denies all allegations of harassment and toxic work environment.
