The $100,000 donation to the New York Common Pantry and meal kit packing event in Times Square marks the start of the Foundation’s annual giving effort in tandem with Lineage’s initial public offering.
Novi, Michigan – July 25, 2024 – Lineage Foundation (the “Foundation”) systemLineage, the world’s largest global temperature-controlled warehouse REIT, today announced it is pledging $8.8 million in food donations and cash grants to community partners to address hunger and food insecurity. As the first part of this effort, in conjunction with Lineage’s initial public offering, the Lineage Foundation for Good will donate $100,000 to the New York Common Pantry and host a meal kit packing event in Times Square to feed families in need across New York. These actions further the Foundation’s longstanding mission to combat food insecurity, backed by Lineage’s commitment to global food assistance.
1 in 9 New Yorkers are facing hunger. 1.2 million Residents of New York’s five boroughs are food insecure, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the New York City Mayor’s Office of Food Policy. Since 2020, Lineage has donated the equivalent of more than 176 million meals through its “Share a Meal” campaign, partnering with customers to donate surplus items, having team members donate food to local food banks, and providing grants to help build capacity at food banks around the world.
