Steven Mnuchin had a pretty good weekend.
First, the Treasury Secretary’s nomination was one step closer to confirmation on Friday.
After that, his latest movie took the top spot at the box office.
Mnuchin is an Executive Producer at Warner Bros. “The Lego Batman Movie” raked in an estimated $55.6 million from U.S. audiences in its opening weekend.
CNN is owned by Time Warner, as is Warner Bros.
The 2014 children’s spin-off of The Lego Movie easily beat out its raunchy rival Universal’s Fifty Shades Darker.
The sequel to 2015’s Fifty Shades of Grey, based on the best-selling series of romance novels, debuted in the US with $46.8 million.

Mnuchin is listed as a producer or executive producer on 34 movies in recent years, including last summer’s “Suicide Squad,” which grossed $786 million worldwide.
He also produced The Lego Ninjago Movie, another LEGO franchise spin-off coming to screens this fall.
Mnuchin is widely expected to serve as Treasury secretary by then.
Mnuchin after defeating the Democratic filibuster in a 53-46 vote last Friday. Final vote scheduled before Senate plenary session 7 p.m. Monday.
