There’s no doubt that girl groups are taking the K-Pop world by storm, and one of them is LE SSERAFIM. The band released their first EP, Fearless, in 2022 and has since broken numerous records, becoming the biggest opening act of the year. Though they’re only just finishing their second year, LE SSERAFIM has garnered global attention and gained fans all over the world.
Recently, LE SSERAFIM became the first K-pop girl band to be named Artist of the Month in MTV Push Artist of the Month for June. The official announcement of the five-member group’s achievement was shared on Twitter on Monday, June 3, 2024. Notably, MTV Push is a global campaign that selects a new artist each month with exclusive interviews and video performances.
The announcement was followed by the release of a YouTube video on MTV’s channel of the band performing popular songs such as “Easy” and “Smart.” The YouTube video also featured the band’s dynamic dance routines as well as portions of a question and answer session.
LE SSERAFIM, a name popularly known as meaning “I am fearless”, is made up of five members: Heo Yunjin, Hong Eunchae, Kim Chaewon, Sakura, and Kazuha. Originally, Kim Ga-ram was the sixth member of the girl band who left the group in 2022.

The K-pop group has released one album, three EPs, and nine singles, including hits like “Easy,” “Fearless,” “Antipragile” and “Unforgiven.” They debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in February 2024 with “Easy.” In an interview with People magazine, Heo, 22, said about the song, “I think it’s a song that’s universally relatable. Nothing is actually easy. You can only make it look easy. It takes effort to do anything. We just wanted to talk about that.” [how] We worked hard for this.”
Since their debut, LE SSERAFIM has won numerous awards, including the MAMA Awards and the Golden Disc Awards.
