Lady Gaga releases new album on Friday!
She just Instagram Joker: Folie à Deux’s companion album, Harlequin, will be released on September 27th.
Gaga plays Harley Quinn in the film, and the post included a photo of the singer looking Harley-like while taking a shower fully clothed in a life jacket. She posted a second photo of a milk carton with a list of songs from the soundtrack. Scroll down to see the list!
The singer also hinted at a secret project he’s currently working on, in addition to his upcoming album, “LG7.”
Gaga also posted cryptic messages on Instagram, with hints like, “I’m interview ready,” “Don’t tell me what to wear,” and “No duct tape. No mission.”
She stars alongside Joaquin Phoenix in the film, who plays the Joker, and the pair spoke about singing in the film at a press conference at the Venice Film Festival.
Joaquin said, “At first she was like, ‘Oh, sing it live,’ and I was like, ‘No, you can’t… you can sing it live if you want,’ and in the end we did it. It was really the only way. Not only did we sing live, but every part of the recording was live… we were working with a pianist.”
Gaga added, “I think the approach to music in this film was very special and very subtle. In a lot of ways, I wouldn’t even say it’s a musical. Not at all. The way music is used is to give the characters a way to express what they want to say, because scenes and lines just wouldn’t be enough.”
Speaking about her singing, the Grammy winner said, “We worked really hard on the singing. For me it was about forgetting technique, forgetting how to breathe and singing completely out of the character.”
