Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is ready to practice again.
Murray announced on social media that he is practicing today for the first time since suffering a torn ACL on December 12th.
For Murray, who has been on the physically unavailable list all season, returning to practice doesn’t necessarily mean he’s any closer to playing. But this is a significant step in that direction, and good news for the Cardinals. That’s because Murray wants to get healthy, play at a high level and prove he’s the franchise quarterback they thought he was when they signed him to a lucrative long-term contract. one year ago.
The Cardinals are also giving Budda Baker a 21-day grace period to ensure his safety before he begins practice and returns from injured reserve. Baker has been out since Week 1.
Arizona is 1-5 and unlikely to make much noise this season, but the Cardinals are a tougher opponent than most expected, and could get even tougher if Murray and Baker return quickly.
