houston – Remember Brandi Ingram from this past Monday? During our interview, his words “we don’t have any money” resonated with many.
KPRC 2 Investigates profiled the 35-year-old mother of two, who is also a small business owner for a wedding events company. She claimed that event organizers deceived her and her other vendors.
Ms. Ingram said the man was Adam Dobres, and she and the new small business owners took the money with him to attend the Wedding Expo in Magnolia last Sunday. He claims to have achieved nothing.
New vendors such as DJ Charlie Entertainment’s Carlos Ramirez, who claims to have been scammed out of money, have described Dobres as a “fraud” or “fraud.”
Event Ladies’ Cheryl White labeled Dobres a “thief” and “swindler”.
White said they are currently out hundreds of dollars and Dobres is not responding.
One thing is certain: All of the vendors told KPRC 2 Investigates that not only do they want their money back, but they also want Dobres to stop.
“Well, it might be $300, but if you multiply that time by the number of vendors that were there and he’s doing this in another city, then yeah, you know that’s not right. ” Ramirez said.
All affected vendors said they have escalated the matter to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and will continue this investigation until all outstanding amounts are refunded.
