Kit Harington was out in New York City on Monday night for the season 3 premiere of “Industry.”
Extra’s Mona Kosar Abdi spoke with Kit about joining the show, his role as Sir Henry Mack and his daughter.
When he’s not promoting the new season of “Industry,” Kit has been enjoying life off-screen since welcoming his daughter with wife Rose Leslie in June last year.
He said: “My daughter only walked for the first time the other day. I’m doing a theatre production in London and miss my girls terribly.”
“I now have a boy and a girl and I couldn’t be happier,” Kit said of their children. “They are the most beautiful kids in every sense of the word. It’s absolutely amazing.”
In “Industry,” Kitt plays a green energy company CEO who he describes as “classy” and “incredibly ambitious.”
Kit added: “He’s very interested in the ladies, which is a funny way to put it, but he’s a damaged man.”
When asked if his character is a “tech guy,” Kitt replied: “He’s an entrepreneur. I think he sees himself as a sort of British Mark Zuckerberg or Elon Musk, or aspires to be that type of person.”
Kit was a huge fan of the show before he was signed on: “I finally got to experience that same feeling I had with Game of Thrones, where people came on set and it was mind-blowing to see them on TV so many times and now they’re on set. I felt that way with this show, because I saw Marisa on. [Abela]In the work, I saw Harry [Lawtey]”Seeing all of his work, seeing Maihara’s work, I was like, ‘Yes, I’m here. I’m in the industry.'”
Kit also spoke about how Henry is matched up with Harry’s character Rob, revealing, “He definitely has a love-hate relationship with Rob. There’s a class thing between them. Rob comes from a working-class background and she comes from an upper-class background, a bit of an aristocratic background. They clash a lot, but they love each other. And I think there’s almost a love scene between them in episode two.”
“Industry” will return on Max on August 11th.
