As per the latest updates, Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana will start shooting for this action-packed film in January 2025.
As per a report in Pinkvilla, the first schedule will take place in Mumbai followed by a marathon schedule in Europe. Sources added that the film will shoot till August or September next year. “The idea is to shoot the action at real locations and in studios to nicely infuse realism into the storyline. The makers are aiming to establish a new form of action with Shah Rukh Khan in King,” the source added.
‘king‘ is expected to be released during Eid 2026.
At the Locarno Film Festival in August, Shah Rukh Khan spoke about his upcoming film and said he would be losing weight to prepare for the gruelling action scenes. “I have to start shooting for the film. I need to lose some weight and do some stretching so that I don’t get pinched during the action scenes,” he said.
Meanwhile, King Khan will be hosting the 24th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA). The actor will be co-hosting alongside film director and producer Karan Johar. The IIFA Awards will be held at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi from September 27 to 29.
