He is one of the “Sudairi Seven” sons of King Abdul Aziz, all of whom share the same mother and are the most powerful members of the House of Saud.

From October 2, 2018 Saudi dissident and Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, who lives in Virginia, has gone missing after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Turkish authorities later said Khashoggi was killed and dismembered inside the building by his team of 15 men. Saudi officials say Mr Khashoggi was killed during an attempted kidnapping.
From October 14, 2018 Saudi and Turkish media have called on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss convening a working group to investigate Khashoggi’s murder.
October 16, 2018 – US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited King Salman and Prince bin Salman in Riyadh to talk about Khashoggi’s death. Both men deny having any knowledge of the violence at the consulate.
From October 31, 2018 Saudi Arabia’s chief prosecutor says there is evidence that Khashoggi was killed in a premeditated murder. Saudi officials insist that King Salman and Prince bin Salman were not involved.
