On Monday night, Kate Winslet wore a suit to the New York premiere of “The Regime,” a darkly comedic new series that tells the story of life inside the walls of a modern-day dictatorship as it begins to crumble. did.
Extra’s Mona Kosar Abdi sat down with Kate to find out what advice she would give to herself post-Titanic.
Of that advice, she said, “I would probably say to myself…just keep going, just keep going, just keep going.”
Kate recently opened up about how difficult life was after working on blockbuster Titanic.

Winslet also addressed whether her character, Prime Minister Elena Varnum, was inspired by real-world politicians.
She commented, “You know, I decided it wasn’t going to be a safe place for me, so I just stopped.”
“We were lucky that when the script was sent to all of us, all six episodes were sent in full,” Kate elaborated. “We’re fortunate that our creator/showrunner and his team of writers have done an incredible amount of research and preparation so that everything is done and we fully understand who this person is. It was up to me to invent something that would become. I had to come up with something that had never been done before.”
Kate says her character’s backstory helped her get into the role.
“The Regime” will premiere on HBO on March 3rd.
