Kate Middleton has spoken about her battle with cancer in an emotional video posted to X.
Prince Charles revealed that he has completed chemotherapy, is now doing all he can to “beat cancer” and has “new hope”.
The video, filmed by Will Wall, shows Kate, her husband Prince William, and their children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, enjoying a nature getaway while giving an update on Kate’s health.
Middleton explained, “As summer comes to an end, I am relieved to finally be finishing my chemotherapy treatments. The last nine months have been incredibly tough on our family. Life can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate rough seas and unknown paths.”

The 42-year-old continued, “Cancer treatment is complicated, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. Being humble forces you to face your own vulnerabilities in ways you never thought possible, which gives you a new perspective on everything.”
The trip reminded her and Prince William to “reflect on and be grateful for the simple but important things in life,” like “just loving and being loved.”
Speaking about the road ahead, Kate said: “My focus now is doing what I can to cure this cancer. Although I have finished chemotherapy, there is a long road to healing and full recovery and I must continue to take each day as it comes. However, I look forward to returning to work and being more active in public when possible in the coming months. Despite all that I have been through, I am entering a new stage in my recovery with renewed hope and gratitude for life.”

Middleton also shared a message for those diagnosed with cancer, saying, “To all those who continue to fight cancer: I am always with you, side by side, holding your hand. Out of darkness comes light, so let’s shine that light brightly.”
Kate first revealed her cancer diagnosis in March 2024.
