Vice President Kamala Harris shared a video of a meeting with original and current cast members of the TV show “Queer Eye,” but the video came with a caption that didn’t match what was said.
In the video, Harris can be seen greeting Carson Kressley, Jay Rodriguez, Karamo Brown and Jonathan Van Ness at the front door.
After entering the White House, the cast was shown embracing Harris, before Rodriguez warned her that “you’re going to fight every urge to not open that drawer,” as it was in their DNA.
After sharing the photo with the cast, the video cuts to Van Ness calling Harris “honey,” before correcting herself and saying, “I mean, Madam Vice President.”

Harris shared the video on X, writing, [Queer Eye] Thank you all for joining me at the White House to discuss the hard work and accomplishments the LGBTQI+ community has made over the past two decades. Thank you for the meaningful conversations, for endorsing my office, and for being such amazing people.”
This is not the first time Harris has been referred to as “Madame President.”

Last year, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre mistakenly referred to the vice president as “the president” during an afternoon press conference.
The gaffe came within the first minutes of the press conference, when Jean-Pierre announced that Harris would be speaking to mark the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

“This Sunday, the president will speak about the fight to ensure women’s fundamental right to reproductive health care in the face of these attacks,” Jean-Pierre said, unaware of his mistake and without correcting himself. “He will talk about what’s at stake for millions of women across the country, and most importantly, the need for Congress to enact Roe’s protections into law.”
