Kaley Cuoco is back on TV just weeks after welcoming baby girl Matilda with boyfriend Tom Pelfrey. In Peacock’s new comedy thriller Based on a True Story, she stars in her first role since Kaley became her mother.
“It’s awesome,” Kaley told Extra’s Melvin Robert about motherhood. She said, “She’s amazing. She never thought she could have kids, so this is really cool.”
Kaley, who was pregnant while filming Based on a True Story starring Chris Messina, said she expected her young child to be “a lot of fun” while playing a mother in the film.
“I ate everything in sight. Chris was not only my scene partner, but my stool. I want to put my feet on this back.”
“She still does it,” Chris said.
“Yes,” Kaylee replied. “It was a great experience for me. I don’t know about others.”
Her co-stars also agreed. “I liked it.”
In this series, Kayleigh and Chris play a couple who try to capitalize on America’s true crime obsession with a podcast about serial killers. The experience made it all the more exciting for Kaylee, as she happens to be a big fan of real crime.
“We’re just talking about me and the baby,” Kaley told Extra, adding that the real love of crime comes from her mother. “My mom and I were sitting on the couch watching ‘Forensic Files,’ and now I love ‘Date Line’ and all that.
“When Tom isn’t home, he’s not really into real crime. I’m going to eat a lot,” Kaley said. “I’ll go see 15 films in a row. Then I’ll have dinner, and then I’ll spend the night. And finally, I’ll check on the baby (laughs).”

As Kaley revealed in an Instagram story in May, baby Matilda may not be able to watch the murder investigation, but she’ll listen to the Jonas Brothers, the music that soothes an 8-week-old baby. You can enjoy it.
“She loves the Jonas Brothers! Do you really like their music?” you have to set it. I need to introduce them. “
“Based on a True Story” will premiere on Peacock on June 8.
