The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has released a grim update on the search for actor Julian Sands, who went missing while hiking in January.
CNN “Fontana Sheriff’s Department was contacted by civilian hikers who discovered human remains in the wilds of Mount Baldy,” authorities said in a statement, according to reports.
It may take about a week to identify a positive person.
Sands went missing while hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains northeast of Los Angeles. The final signal from Sands’ mobile phone originated from the same area where the body was found.
A large-scale search for the 65-year-old actor was hampered by the remoteness of the area and bad weather.
