Oris has revealed that two hikers have died within the past four weeks while trying to climb the trails of Mount Baldi and surrounding areas.
“The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is asking everyone to follow these simple tips to keep themselves and others safe,” they wrote.

• Find out the local weather conditions (both current and forecast)
• Make sure you are properly equipped and trained for the alpine conditions (cramps, ice ax, appropriate clothing).
• Bring a tracking or GPS device such as a SPOT or INREACH device
• Make sure your mobile phone is fully charged and bring an extra charged power pack.
• Let someone know when, where you’re going, and what time you’ll be back
